| Where and for how long is my
certification good for? |
| |
| Your certification is good at any dive
facility anywhere in the world no matter what training agency
they use. Once you become a scuba diver you're one for
life. Your certification never expires. Although
after a long period away from diving it is wise to take the
Inactive Diver Program
to refresh your skills. |

| Who is Lexington Scuba? |
| |
| We are a family owned and operated
business. We are your neighbors. We have resided in
Lexington for the past 35 years. We are looking forward to
serving you. We have teamed up with some of the best
equipment manufactures in order to provide you the widest
selection at the best price. |
| |
| Do I need to know how to swim? |
| |
| Yes, but you don't need to be an Olympic
swimmer, you do need to display that you are comfortable in
water. The scuba certification process includes a swim test that
you must pass. If you can't swim, sign up for swim lessons then
pursue your scuba certification. |

| What certification agency should I
choose? My friend says one is better than the others. |
| |
| The best way to learn to dive and get
certified is trough a reputable program at your local dive shop.
Dive shops offer a variety of certification agencies.
Certification agencies use the same standards set by the World
Recreational Scuba Training Council. Therefore, one is no
better than the other. Go with the dive center that you
feel most comfortable with. As for friends or family
suggesting that one certification agency is better than the
other. This is referred to in the scuba industry as
indoctrination. The certification agency wants you
to return therefore, of course they want to express that they
are far superior than all others. Truth be told it is the
dive center and instructor that makes the training worth while. |
